Islamic preacher enjoins Muslims In Adamawa to imbibe the spirit of Peaceful Coexistence

Sheikh Musa Abdullahi Usman Jimeta, Chairman Ulama’u of Jamaatul Izalatil Bida Wa Ikamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS) Adamawa state has reminded Muslims in Adamawa of the need to live in peace with one another.

Jimeta gave the charge Friday during the opening of a three-day seminar organized by JIBWIS holding in Jumma’at Mosque II, behind Jimeta Modern Market.

“Muslims should live by the teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunnah of the prophet Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him.

“Islamic scholars to preach on peaceful co-existence in the society as the word Islam was rooted from the Arabic word Salam, meaning peace, Jimeta said.
He said the essence of the seminar is to encourage Muslims to promote peaceful coexistence in society.

“Leaders at all levels should fear Allah, be just and fair while discharging their duties, he added.

The Guest Speaker, Prof. Shuaibu Mishelia of Modibbo Adamawa University, (èMAU) Yola admonished Muslims to seek both Islamic and Western education to enable them to be in tune with changing times.

Mishelia charges parents to supervise their children’s activities.
The theme for this year’s seminar is Knowledge and its Application, by the Understanding of Early Guidance in Islamic Generation in providing peace and unity in society.

Earlier in his welcome address, Malam Ibrahim Musa Ladan’s seminar coordinator committee express his appreciation to JIBWIS for organizing the seminar and urged them to maintain tempo.
Ladan called on Muslims to attend the seminar for their spiritual guidance.
The event which featured Prayers for peace and unity of the country had in attendance Muslims from within and outside Adamawa, including neighboring Cameroun.
