As Adamawa State grapples with the leadership void following the sudden passing of Hon. Shuaibu Babas, Chairman of Fufore Local Government Area, Dr. Emmanuel N. Musa, the esteemed founder and president of the Emnamu Foundation, has stepped forward to deliver a resounding vote of confidence in Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

Labeling the Governor a “man of proven integrity,” Musa has called for calm and patience across the state, dismissing the clamor over the Fufore transition as unnecessary noise from those “running faster than their shadows.”

The prominent philanthropist and business tycoon’s remarks come at a pivotal moment, as Governor Fintiri navigates the delicate task of ensuring a seamless succession in Fufore while upholding his transformative Fresh Air Agenda.

Musa’s endorsement shines a spotlight on Fintiri’s exceptional leadership, portraying him as a steady, principled figure whose wisdom and foresight have become hallmarks of his tenure.

Fintiri is a thoughtful leader whose passion is to see Adamawa State and its people thrive under the refreshing breeze of his administration

“Governor Fintiri is a thoughtful leader whose passion is to see Adamawa State and its people thrive under the refreshing breeze of his administration,” Musa declared in an impassioned address.

“His wisdom is second to none, his integrity unshakable, and his commitment to the people unwavering. The people of Adamawa should rest assured that he is in full control of this situation.”

The transition in Fufore has sparked debate, particularly over the delay in swearing in Hon. Peace Raymond Audu as Babas’ successor.

Critics have questioned the pace of the process, with some alleging a breach of constitutional norms. However, Musa swiftly debunked such claims, framing the delay as a reflection of Fintiri’s meticulous and deliberate approach to governance rather than any attempt to subvert the rule of law.

“Let me be clear: the noise about the Fufore issue is baseless,” Musa asserted. “People are making mountains out of molehills, running faster than their shadows on a matter that the Governor has already settled in his mind and will resolve in due course. This is not a crisis—it’s a settled matter.”

Musa pointed to Fintiri’s progressive track record as irrefutable evidence of his character and capability. He highlighted the Governor’s trailblazing efforts in promoting gender equity, a cornerstone of his inclusive leadership philosophy.

“In his first term, Governor Fintiri worked alongside a male deputy governor. In his second, he made history by appointing Prof. Kaletapwa George Farauta—a woman—as his deputy.

This wasn’t a token gesture; it was a deliberate act of wisdom to ensure that every segment of society, including women, is represented,” Musa explained.

The philanthropist went further, citing Fintiri’s directive mandating female vice chairpersons in all 21 local government areas—a bold move that defied traditional norms in male-dominated regions. “This is a Governor who doesn’t just preach inclusion; he enforces it,” Musa said.

“He ordered that women serve as vice chairpersons across every LGA, sending a powerful message to the world that equity and representation are non-negotiable under his watch.”

The passing of Hon. Shuaibu Babas, whose funeral Governor Fintiri solemnly attended on April 24, 2025, has left a void in Fufore’s leadership. Yet, Musa urged residents to place their trust in Fintiri’s proven ability to steer the state through adversity. “There’s no cause for alarm,” he reassured.

“Governor Fintiri has handled far greater challenges with grace and excellence. His administrative wisdom will see us through this transition, just as it has guided Adamawa to stability and growth.”

Beyond Fufore, Fintiri’s leadership has been a beacon of hope for Adamawa, blending strategic foresight with an unyielding commitment to the public good. His Fresh Air Agenda has revitalized infrastructure, education, and healthcare, earning him widespread acclaim as a governor who delivers on his promises.

Musa’s vocal support amplifies this narrative, painting Fintiri as a rare leader whose integrity and competence are beyond reproach.

The Fufore transition will be resolved with the same brilliance he brings to every corner of this state

“To the naysayers, I say: stop the speculation and trust the process,” Musa concluded. “Governor Fintiri is not just a man of words but a man of action. He’s a leader who knows exactly what to do and when to do it. The Fufore transition will be resolved with the same brilliance he brings to every corner of this state. Adamawa is in safe hands.”
