the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress and presidential hopeful, on Tuesday, appealed to Gombe delegates to vote for him during the party’s primaries, assuring them that he has everything it takes to be the president of Nigeria.

The former Lagos State governor told the delegates that if elected as president he would ensure that the youths are meaningfully engaged to harness their talents for the nation’s growth.

he said, “We must develop new methods to develop our country. The change in Lagos is just the beginning. We will collaborate with all the states of the federation because one rich man with seven poor men are all poor. We must collaborate to help ourselves.”

Tinubu, who was in Gombe to seek the support of APC delegates from the state, said Nigeria can only regain her pride by looking inward.

Noting that he was in the state to seek their support, Tinubu begged them to vote for him during APC’s primary so that he can emerge as the candidate of the ruling party.

“I have everything it takes to be the president of Nigeria. I have the brain, the talents, and the courage,” he told them.

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, in his welcome address earlier, applauded Tinubu for his fatherly role not only in the APC but also in the whole nation.

Yahaya said, “I know you are a genius in discovering talents and using them for the benefit of the people. We have seen what you have done in Lagos in respect of this which translated into Lagos alone having three powerful offices in the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“This is the kind of person that Nigeria needs at this point in time. A person that will be able to put round pegs in round holes.”
