The coming All progressives Congress (APC) registration and revalidation exercise scheduled to be conducted nationwide from 2nd February 2021 to 16th February is a deliberate plan by the leadership of the party to have more members than what they are having.
The idea is to also have a membership drive toward a successful national convention coming in six months that new leaders of the party will emerge.
The Yola North Local Government Chairman mobilization committee, Hon Mahmoud Mamman Abba said given the aforementioned he envisaged a successful national convention.
He said the exercise will strengthen the party as there are hundreds and thousands of people across the country willing to join the party at the moment.
According to him in as much they are waiting for the National leadership of the party on the guidelines of the exercise, Abba said they are ever ready in Yola North Local Government to mobilize people to join the party that’s still strong and remains a party for the people in the state.
He said the party in Yola, Adamawa state is on course in creating more awareness for people to come out to register and be part of the membership drive.
On the crisis that’s rocking the party from national down to the state and local governments level, Mamman said the crisis in politics is normal and can be found in any other party.
The former council chairman of Yola North still believes APC is the party to beat come 2023 elections despite being an opposition party.
