IWD: Women are the driving force of every economy as Chafari is taking WAGPA to greater heights- Lawan

This year’s celebration of women as the Pillar of every Nation’s economy whose contribution is huge in all sectors, a woman who is an Indigene of Adamawa State is being celebrated for taking the West African Gas Pipeline Authority (WAGPA) to an enviable height.

Barrister Chafari Kanya Shedrach is making a huge contribution to the power industry contributing to the economy of Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, and other West African nations.

Chafari who is the Director General of WAGPA was described as a Woman with many stars capable of bringing life to any moribund organization and able to turn around fortunes for development.

This recognition was made to her by Ahmed Lawan, a public commentator and a politician from Adamawa State who said WAGPA has experienced lofty heights because of Chafari’s leadership qualities.

He said as the world is celebrating the Women folks for their diverse meaningful contributions to every nation, he praised Chafari for her laudable efforts in bringing WAGPA into the limelight.

He congratulated her for doing much more in connecting the West African States with the pipelines of gas, taking the international organizations in an unprecedented manner.

According to him, it’s in women many times that people can see the exceptional style of leadership needed, and Chafari over the years has built a nitch to herself in the area of the gas industry.

International Women’s Day Ahmed Lawan urged the United Nations to make a compulsory demand in celebration of it by all countries of the world and constitutionalize it.
