The Chief of Kona people in Jalingo Chief Augustine Njanmeng on Tuesday decried the taken away of 17 villages belonging to Kona people by the Fulani herdsmen.
Njanmeng made this known while briefing newsmen in his Palace in Jalingo.
He accused the herdsmen of comfortability grazing on the farms of the displaced people, carrying sophisticated weapons to shoot anyone insight.
The monarch called on both the government and international community to intervene so as to return the displaced people back to their ancestral homes.
He cautioned the government of impending food crisis in the state, if those displaced were not return to continue with their farming.
He also said that his two farms running into 12 hectres had been destroyed by the herdsmen.
Reporters who visited some of the farms destroyed reports that so many farms were grazed upon.
Mr James Ayuba, one of the farmers whom his farm had been destroyed by the herdsmen called on the government at all levels to end the crisis.
When contacted, Alhaji Sahabi Tukur, Taraba State Chapter Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) said he was not authorised by his national office to respond but promised to sought clearance from their head office.
