JAMB Declares Final Chance for 2026 UTME Candidates as Mop-Up Slip Printing Begins

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has opened the portal for the printing of notification slips for candidates scheduled to participate in the 2026 Mop-Up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), warning that no further examination will be conducted after the exercise.

The Board announced that eligible candidates can now access and print their examination notification slips ahead of the mop-up examination scheduled for June 13, 2026.

In a statement issued by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, candidates were advised to visit the Board’s official website to print their slips, which contain vital information including examination centres, dates, time schedules, and other important instructions.

According to JAMB, the mop-up examination was specifically arranged for candidates who were unable to sit for the main UTME due to technical challenges, as well as those whose biometric verification could not be successfully completed during the earlier exercise.

The examination body urged candidates to print their slips early and familiarize themselves with their designated centres to avoid last-minute difficulties on examination day.

JAMB stressed that the mop-up exercise represents the final opportunity for all eligible candidates to participate in the 2026 UTME.

“The Board wishes to emphasise that this Mop-Up Examination represents the final opportunity for eligible candidates to sit the 2026 UTME. No further examination will be conducted after this exercise,” the statement said.

The announcement comes as thousands of affected candidates prepare for the final phase of the 2026 admission process, with the Board urging participants to make adequate preparations ahead of the examination.

Education stakeholders have described the mop-up examination as a crucial opportunity for candidates whose participation in the main UTME was disrupted by circumstances beyond their control.

JAMB reiterated its commitment to ensuring a smooth and credible examination process while encouraging all eligible candidates to take advantage of the opportunity provided before the June 13 deadline.

The Board maintained that the exercise will mark the conclusion of all UTME examinations for the 2026 admission cycle, signaling the commencement of the next stage of admissions into tertiary institutions across the country.
