The devastating nature of the Education system in Adamawa state where there seem to be defects in many of its systems has waned up the spirit of a good Samaritan who is an indigene of Yola North, the administrative base of the State.

Malam Jamilu Yusuf got a burden when he saw the delipidated state of the state Library he described the edifice that lost orchid glory which gave birth to many Adamawa wonderful sons, and daughters doing great in the respective fields of their endeavors.

Our correspondent visited the Library site and witnessed a massive overhauling of the nearly collapsed structure with old stocked books littered and flung around the main study hall.

Our correspondent contacted Jamilu of the Spirit behind the gesture as a young beneficiary of the old Library, he said that the building and the unkept books made him who he is today.

“I can’t watch this place dying I must put in my effort to survive it. I really benefited from this building and the best I can do is to make sure the place outlive my generation for other to also benefit from it.” Jamilu said

He said aside from his parent’s way of modeling him, and the University he attended that he got a lot of inspiration from many books that added much value to his life, and molded him into a better Man for humanity’s purposes.

He revealed that is renovating the Library into a model of digital learning,and the edifice will be restock with new books that are part of the current syllabus of Nigerian school curriculums.

According to him, a good wireless network will be installed for the E-Library, and the Journals section will be very well organized.

He opined that the master plan of the building was not having sporting facilities, this time around Badminton Court will be constructed with Gazebos and huts around it for readers to use as one of the relaxing places after reading.

Yusuf who is a media consultant and a publisher challenged well-meaning individuals, corporate organizations, and revenue-generating agencies like the Adamawa State board of internal revenue to support the education sector in the state because the government can not do it all.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, stalwart worried over the sudden collapse of education in the state and no one seems to be serious about reviving it.

While calling on the government to give the best chunk of the budget allocation of 2023 to education, he said the sector remains the best thing that can formulate and liberate humanity
