June 12: Youths activist, Akpobi calls on Nigerians to unite to strengthen democracy

Democracy was described as the best form of governance which gives everyone a chance to participate and play a role in making sure good leaders emerge.

The description was made by Mr Elvis Akpobi, an aide to Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori of Delta State on Youth to mark the 2024 Democracy Day.

Elvis therefore called on Nigerians to unite irrespective of party, religion, or tribal place of origin to unite and grow the country’s democracy that’s still stunted and lagging behind.

According to him though the country’s democracy is still nascent Nigerians have every reason to celebrate considering the many advantages it has to the Nigerian masses.

He made a passionate appeal to all those advocating for good governance, individuals, groups, and NGOs to renew their zeal in promoting the need to totally support the growth of democracy in Nigeria.

While congratulating the people of Delta State for having a good leader in Governor Oborevwori, he charged them to support him to succeed by delivering the many dividends of democracy they are witnessing.

He said Governor Oborevwori is working like a bee and his one year stewardship has distinguished him to be a Man with the excellent wisdom to lead well and take Delta State to an enviable state

Elvis congratulated Governor Oborevwori for witnessing the 2024 June 12, a day the Nigerian government set aside as the country’s national day to celebrate democracy.
