In a move to address concerns surrounding the new tax reform bills, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the Federal Ministry of Justice to work closely with the National Assembly. This development aims to ensure that all genuine concerns are addressed before the bills are passed.

The President welcomes the ongoing nationwide debate on the tax bills, describing it as “commendable” and “inspiring.” He emphasizes the importance of respectful and informed engagement, urging commentators and groups to avoid name-calling and ethnic slurs.

Contrary to misinformation circulating about the tax bills, President Tinubu assures that the fiscal reforms will not impoverish any state or region. Instead, they will bring relief to millions of hardworking Nigerians, empower states and local governments, and facilitate sustainable growth and development.
