The state Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Taraba Chapter, Comrade Peter Jediel has been kidnapped early hours of Sunday 7/2/2021 by an unknown gunmen.
A family member who confirmed the incident to our Correspondent say Peter was abducted in his house in Sunkani, Ardo kola local government area of the state at about 12:58am.
According to his younger brother, Mr. Boniface Stephen upto the time of filing this report no demands was placed by the abductors.
“There no demands was made and no even calls” Mr. Boniface Stephen said.
Our Correspondent also recalled that this is coming nearly 1 month when the Chairman of Ardo Kola local council where the NLC Chairman is from, Hon. Salihu Dovo was kidnapped and killed by the yet to be identified gunmen in the state.
Efforts to speak with the Spokesperson of the Taraba State Police Command prove abortive.
Meanwhile, Taraba State Commissioner for Information and Reorientation, Barrister Danjuma Adamu in a telephone conversation with our Correspondent condemned the act and reiterated Governor Ishaku’s administration commitment toward ensuring the protection of lives and property of its citizens.
