The Rivers State Police Command has apprehended two additional suspects linked to the 2023 killing of Ahoada Divisional Police Officer (DPO), late SP Bako Angbashim. The suspects, identified as Lovegod Goodluck and Precious Olumini, are alleged members of the notorious late 2Baba Iceland cult group.
According to the police, the suspects were arrested on May 3 and June 13, 2025, at their hideouts in Ikata Community, Ahoada East LGA. The operatives recovered firearms and live cartridges from the suspects.
The police spokesperson, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, stated that the suspects confessed to being members of the Iceland cult group, which has been terrorizing the Ahoada-East axis of the state.
With efforts being made to apprehend other fleeing members of the syndicate and recover their operational weapons
The Commissioner of Police, Rivers State, CP Olugbenga A. Adepoju, assured citizens that the command remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of lives and property in the state.
