Three police officers have been dismissed from the Nigeria Police Force over their involvement in the death of Qoyum Abdulyekeen Ishola, a 21-year-old student at Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin. The incident occurred on September 4, 2024, during a fuel hike protest by students in Ilorin.

Inspectors Abiodun Kayode and James Samuel, and Sergeant Oni Philip were found guilty after a thorough investigation and internal disciplinary trial. They will also face arraignment soon.
