Kaduna Attacks: Progressive Interfaith Forum Organises Prayer Session Against Terrorists

The Progressives Interfaith Forum(PIF) along with the INTERFAITH ALLIANCE called on all Citizens,residents of Kaduna and people of goodwill outside Kaduna to join them in seeking for Divine Intervention through Special Interfaith Prayer Sessions tagged #KADUNA PRAYS.

The group , which sought devine retribution against the attackers of innocent citizens ,condoled Kaduna State Government,residents and families of the victims of recent incidents .

According to a Statement jointly signed by the Chairman and Vice Chairman of Progressive Interfaith Forum , Pastor Adebayo A. Emmanuel and Ustaz Abubakar S.Tahir ,”Adherents of all faiths are victims so no one is spared. Therefore,we must all arise to condemn these criminals and seek for Divine retribution against them.

The statement noted that , ” As Spiritual Leaders given oversight roles by the Almighty over the people,we cannot continue to remain silent, indifferent or despondent in the face of the criminal activities of terrorists and bandits ravaging our beloved State.

While acknowledging that the Federal and State Governments are doing so much using the Kinetic approach, the Interfaith Forum said there is an obvious need for all hands to be on deck especially,from the Spiritual dimension.

“Therefore,we strongly believe that the efforts of the Government should be complimented through the partnership and support of Religious leaders and people of goodwill that want this Government to succeed in it’s efforts to secure the lives and properties of all residents and visitors. ” The Forum added .

SHOW OF SOLIDARITY WITH THE VICTIMS OF RECENT ATTACKS AND THE KADUNA STATE GOVERNMENT AND THE NEED FOR INTERFAITH PRAYER SESSIONS TO TACKLE THE PROTRACTED SECURITY CHALLENGES AND UNREST IN KADUNA STATE.

In recent times Northern Nigeria and Kaduna State in particular have experienced incidences of Conflicts,Bandits attacks and other security challenges which have led to the loss of lives and properties.

The Progressives Interfaith Forum along with the INTERFAITH ALLIANCE express our condolences and sympathy to the Kaduna State Government,residents of Kaduna and families of the victims of these incidences.

We believe that as we surrender to His will ALLAH SWT will show us Mercy as stated in Qu’ran Chapter 1 Verse 155 which says “And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient,

Who, when disaster strikes them, say, “Indeed we belong to Allah , and indeed to Him we will return.
Verse 157
Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.”

The Holy Scriptures in 2 Chronicles 7:14 say “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Therefore,in anticipation of the involvement of all Residents of Kaduna State and all people of Goodwill, we will be mobilizing all Religious Leaders and all adherents of the various faiths towards achieving these laudable objective.

By the Special grace of God, the first #Kaduna Prays Interfaith Prayer Session is expected to hold in the First week of April,2022. The exact date will be communicated through various Media Platforms.
