The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with a viral video showing a person buried alive with their head outside.

The video led to the identification of the victim, Abubakar Aliyu, 20, and the arrest of two suspects, Yahaya AbdulKadir, 24, and Abdullahi AbdulKadir, 18, all from Gauraki village in Zaria.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects and victim were laborers at a construction site in Abuja, where a phone valued at N35,000 was stolen.
The victim was accused of theft
The victim was accused of theft, and it was agreed that his daily wages would be used to replace the phone. However, Abubakar Aliyu left Abuja and returned home, only to be trailed by the suspects, who forcefully buried him alive as a form of interrogation.
The suspects were arrested and admitted to committing the act.
The Commissioner of Police, CP A.D. Ali, warned against jungle justice and assured that the case would be thoroughly investigated and handled professionally.
