A shocking announcement yesterday by the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KADSIECOM) has left many stunned and outraged, with claims that candidates from the All Progressives Congress (APC) swept all 23 Local Government Areas. This outcome, deemed a “shambolic exercise” by critics, has sparked widespread concern that the true will of the people has been disregarded.

Ambi Philemon Danladi, a vocal advocate for democracy, has condemned the results, emphasizing that they do not reflect the state’s rich political history. He points to the diverse representation in the 23-member State House of Assembly, where the APC, PDP, and other parties have a balanced presence. Similarly, the National Assembly boasts 12 PDP representatives, 5 from the APC, and 1 from the LP.
Danladi urges supporters of democracy to reject this perceived injustice, warning that it threatens to undermine the state’s progress. He calls on Governor Uba Sani and KADSIECOM to reconsider the results and announce the genuine outcomes that truly represent the people’s wishes. Moreover, he appeals to the judiciary to intervene, ensuring fairness and restoring stolen mandates to their rightful owners.
