The Governor made the assertion on Tuesday while chairing a high-level meeting of the Kaduna State Security Council at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House in Kaduna.

The session featured a comprehensive review of the state’s security landscape and an assessment of ongoing efforts to protect lives and property.

Governor Sani was joined by the Honourable Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd.), whose presence underscored the strong collaboration between the state and federal government in tackling security challenges.

“The Council remains the nucleus of our collective security architecture, defined not merely by its composition, but by unity of purpose and resolve,” the Governor stated.

He paid glowing tribute to the gallant men and women of the Armed Forces and other security agencies for their sacrifices, while also recognising the critical roles played by traditional rulers, religious leaders, and community stakeholders in fostering trust and preventing conflict at the grassroots level.

The Governor highlighted measurable progress achieved through the Kaduna Peace Model, an inclusive framework anchored on intelligence-led operations, seamless inter-agency coordination, and proactive prevention strategies.

This approach, he noted, has enabled early threat detection and swift containment, shifting the state from a reactive posture to one focused on pre-empting crises.

“Yet, vigilance remains imperative,” Governor Sani cautioned, while expressing confidence in the state’s trajectory.

“With the support of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Kaduna remains steadfast, united, and committed to enduring peace and shared prosperity for all citizens,” he added.

The meeting is seen as a significant boost to ongoing efforts to sustain the gains recorded under the Kaduna Peace Model, which has earned national attention for its emphasis on non-kinetic strategies, community engagement, and inclusive governance.

Stakeholders have welcomed the Governor’s firm stance against any attempt to exploit security issues for political gains, describing it as a timely message of unity and resolve ahead of future political activities.

The presence of the Defence Minister at the state-level council meeting further signals the federal government’s continued partnership with Kaduna in ensuring lasting peace in the North-West region.
