A 22-year-old suspected Kidnapper, Muhammed Mustapha, resident of Madina, Mubi North Local Government area has been arrested on 27/7/2024 for alleged kidnapped and murdered of his 8-year-old cousin, Muhammed Auwal (Khalifa).
According to SP S Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer PPRO said the incident happened on July 25, 2024, in Madina ward, Mubi North Local Government Area.
The statement reads in par: “The suspect kidnapped and held the victim in a hidden location and demanded a ransom of 2.8 million Naira.
Sadly, the suspect intoxicated the Victim and later strangled the young boy until he died.
“The Suspect was arrested on the 27/7/2024, by Detective officers of the Command attached to State Intelligence Department (SID), following a report by one Harris Muhammed, the victim’s father who doubles as Uncle to the suspect”.
The statement added that the suspect has voluntarily confessed of committing the Crime and blamed the intoxicating substance he took.
The Command Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, assured of deligent prosecution and urge all to give timely information to police.
