….accuses the commissioner of hiring incompetent family members to manage the club
An expert in football management, Mr. Emmanuel Zira said the unfortunate attack that happened by suspected kidnappers to Adamawa Football Club, and its official was caused as a result of a lack of good football management team.
Zira worried that the incident has led to the abduction of the Club’s driver unduly which would have been tactical and practical avoided with a good football manager, a professional who knows what he is doing.
He revealed that the instinct of a good manager would have not permitted the club to embark on a night Journey as it was reported.
According to him, the young players have been attacked around 11:40 pm along Benin-Ore Expressway on their way for week 11 NPFL fixture against MFM FC in Lagos.
Emmanuel an experienced football manager lamented the club is going down the drain of performance, with relegation as its final destination against what is known before because there is no competent hands to manage the affairs of the club.
Zira said with his wealth of experience the commissioner has denied him the right and full opportunity to manage well the club he has been managing for many years bringing trophies to the state.
“What should keep a team at almost midnight in the road? The rules say nothing should make a team be on the road once it’s six o’clock in the evening. Why should the managers allowed them to continue a night journey as if they have a squadron of army escorting them? The recklessness is too much because no one is challenging the commissioner to do the right thing.
“We struggled last year February to take the club out of relegation, but they are seem to be going back because of poor management. The actual problem of all their failures is because they don’t have good administrators, this I’m calling on the Governor to do something urgent.” Zira said
He accused the commissioner of Youth and Sports of the state, Hon Farouk Jauro Tongo of hiring incompetent hands who are his family relations to manage the affairs of the club.
A selfish attitude from the commissioner this he said is pushing the club to be performing below expectations, a worse records they are keeping in the history of the club.
Zira said coach Ladan Boso, Justine Madugu, and Joshua Steven are football managers who have coached national teams were brought to the ministry but the commission said he will not work with them.
“For goodness sake how can you compare Ladan Boso and his wife’s Younger Brother who has never gone to coaching school?.
” Ladan Boso, a seasoned national coach, Justine Madugu who has coached national team, and Joshua Steven who has coached more than three national leagues in Nigeria and abroad? That’s why the team is underperforming. The commissioner just brought the people he can control because he doesn’t like to work with professionals.” He added
Emmanuel also said that the footballers are just suffering, their meager allowances are rarely paid as at when due, if you visit their camp is total blackout with no light for months.
“A girl fainted and almost died in Kaduna, he gave them one thousand naira as feeding money in a week, tell me how can they perform with this kind of management?” He said
This medium recalled the squabbles between the commissioner and Mr. Emmanuel Zira who was initially employed by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri administration at his early days in office but being sidelined by the Commissioner because of N3.5 Million he was alleged to have siphoned into personal accounts.
Embattled Zira holds a contrary view of the commissioner’s competency to manage the affairs of the club because of the past grudges he nurses against him, lamenting the present situation of the club as their performances in recent times are far below expectation TGNEWS gathered.
All efforts to reach out to the Commissioner, Mr. Jauro by our correspondent to respond to sundry allegations proved abortive as calls put through his line are showing “line busy”, suspecting he has blocked all calls from our reporter.
