La’ori eulogies Medan Teneke, commissions ultra-modern Town Hall in his name

Numan/Demsa/Lamurde federal constituency in the house of representatives, Rt. Hon Kwamoti B. La’ori, has commissioned a community hall in Demsa local government named after a popular politician, late Chief Medan Teneke.

Elucidating the rationale behind the building, La’ori, said the construction was a fulfilment of his electioneering campaign to the teeming people of the area.

“We named the hall after Medan Teneke because of his political carrier in Demsa, Adamawa and the nation. We are remembering him though he was not alive with us, but he was a political warrior during his life,” he said.

He urged the people of Demsa local government area to constitute a committee to maintain the hall.

Also in his remarks, the commissioner of entrepreneurship development, James Iliya, said “you have brought goodnesses to our land. This edifice will be beneficial to all regardless of political affiliation.

“your commitment is commendable, we must respect and commend you. We thank this gesture in Demsa land, we will continue to give you maximum support, we thank governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for working in our area,” he said.

Also commenting, His Royal Majesty, Homun Alhamdu Gladstone Teneke who was represented by the district head of Demsa Chief Fedelis Ali, commended the lawmaker for the gesture.

He said “this is our need from the politician, our dreams have finally been fulfilled, we are very grateful” he said.

Early in his welcome address, chairman of Demsa local government council Honorable Elkanah Fwa Kados, thanked the lawmaker for building the community hall in the area.

He said; “we the people of Demsa are proud of you, you have addressed one of the major needs of our community. We’ll eternally remain grateful to you,” he said.
