Jagindi Tasha in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State buzzed with the grand entourage of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and his Deputy Governor, Sir Monday John Onyeme, for the solemn burial rites of the late Mr. Danladi Ambi.
Governor Oborevwori landed in Jagindi Tasha, where he mourned alongside Sir Monday, who laid his foster father to rest amid celebrations of a life well-lived. The governor also attended the funeral service at the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA II) in Jagindi Tasha, Southern Kaduna Senatorial District.
Describing Pa Danladi’s funeral service, Governor Oborevwori highlighted the outpouring of testimonies about a life dedicated to service to humanity and unwavering devotion to God.
He offered heartfelt prayers to God for eternal rest for Pa Danladi’s soul and comfort for those he left behind, especially his Deputy Governor, Sir Monday, and his siblings.

In paying his last respects to his late father, Sir Monday delivered a touching tribute, expressing his deepest love and appreciation for how the late Pa Danladi taught him to approach life with curiosity and an open mind, facing it with a mindset of continuous learning.
Sir Monday portrayed his father as a disciplinarian and a “tough cookie,” both as a soldier and a civilian. He faced life’s challenges with courage and grace, never allowing them to define him. “You taught me that strength isn’t just about being physically strong, but also about having emotional fortitude and the ability to keep going no matter what,” Sir Monday said.
”My dear father, even though you are no more, your legacy lives on in the values you instilled in me. I strive to honor your memory by living a life of integrity, showing love and kindness to others, and finding joy in communal life and the simple things. Your influence is woven into who I am, and I am forever grateful for the time we shared,” he added.
Pa Danladi’s life was marked by profound impact on humanity wherever he went, turning the burial service into a celebration of appreciation as tributes poured in.

In a moving tribute, his son-in-law, Hon. Daniel Amos, a House of Representatives member representing the Jama’a/Sanga Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on House Services, described Baba as a man of rare character who always treated them all as his biological sons and daughters.
”His wisdom was steady, his words seasoned with grace, and his presence always reassuring. Through patience, kindness, and deepened faith, he built a legacy of discipline that will continue to speak for generations long after his departure,” Hon. Daniel said.
The tributes also honored the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Catherine Onyeme, who described Baba’s life as one of profound impact. Meeting him, she said, was an encounter with wisdom, humility, and kindness in their truest forms.
”For me, he will forever remain a father figure of immeasurable worth. I thank God for his life,” she said.
Other notable figures who paid tribute during the funeral service included Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Amos Gwamma Magaji, a House of Representatives lawmaker representing the Zangon Kataf/Kachia Federal Constituency of Kaduna State and Chairman of the House Committee on Healthcare Services.
The ECWA Church at Jagindi was filled to capacity with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas—ably represented by his wife, Hajiya Fatima—members of the National Assembly, staff from the National Open University, friends and relatives of the family, and senior clergy from the ECWA Jagindi District Church Council.
