The recidence of late leader of Tijjaniya movement in Nigeria, Khalifa Isyaka Rabiu, has continued to play host to politicians, religious leaders, well wishers and business associates from the broad spectrum of the entrepreneurial landscape as they converge to condole the family, people and government of Kano State, over the death of the late Khalifa, who died in a London Hospital at the age of 90.
One of the early callers, sunday Morning, was Governor of Adamawa State, Sen Mohammed Umar Jibrilla, who was accompanied by the Speaker of Adamawa State House of Assembly Rt Hon Kabiru Mijinyawa, Sen Ahmed Barbara, Hon Kevin Peter and two notable Islamic scholars from Adamawa State.
The governor and his entaurage were received by the family members of the late Khalifa including his son, Abdulsamad Isyaka Rabiu, chairman of BUA Group of companies.
Imams took turns to offer prayers for Allah to grant the late Khalifa Aljanna Firdausi.
In his remark, Sen Jibrilla said, “We must always remember that death is inevitable, that is why we must always do things with the fear of Allah”.
The Governor recalled his relationship with the family of the late Khalifa saying, “our relationship dates back to when I was a child in the 80s when I was in school with the children of late Isyaka Rabiu in London. Me and my father had unfettered access to late khalifa’s residence because he took me like his own child”.
He urged Abdulsamad Isyaka Rabiu and his siblings to, always put their father,the late Khalifa, in prayers because, “without fatherly blessings you would not have attained your current feat as prosperous business men”.
The governor later led his entourage to pay a similar visit to the residence of the Governor of Kano State, Dr Ganduje, where quranic verses and prayers were also offered for the repose of the soul of late Khalifa Isyaka Rabiu.
