Lawmaker inspects ongoing road construction in Adamawa community

…says Gov Fintiri came to the rescue of the neglected community

Ahead commencement of reconstruction work, the lawmaker representing Guyuk in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Adwawa Donglock, has led an inspection tour to the Banjiram-Chikila Road project.

Chikila being the largest political ward in Guyuk Local Government Area was neglected by the previous administrations in the area of infrastructure, until now when Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri decided to intervene.

Addressing the gathering, Adwawa who is also the deputy chief whip of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, told the communities that Governor Fintiri is a leader who matches words with action.

Hon. Donglock is optimistic that the Fintiri administration will execute the road project as promised.

He enumerated some of his achievements in the area which Include provision of street lights, replacement of wooden electric poles with concrete poles, renovation of a block of classroom and provision of two new classrooms at Dogir Tudu, of Chikila ward.

Others are provision of Hospital equipment, medical outreach at Dogir Tudu, distribution of mosquito nets and re electrification of Gwalura community by providing poles, among other projects.

The lawmaker urged them to reciprocate the gesture of fresh air administration by coming out enmass and voting all PDP candidates during the upcoming elections for the consolidation of people-oriented projects.

The council chairman, Guyuk local government area, Mr Abafras Solomon who thanked governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for awarding the road project in the area, called on the people of Guyuk to consider the outstanding performance of the fresh air administration and that of Hon. Adwawa in all spheres by supporting their mandate restoration come February and March elections.

The contractor of the road project, Aliyu Adamu Namtari of ATB BARAK SERVICES said his firm is ready to complete the work within six months contractual agreement as his firm is ready to mobilize to site next week for commencement of work.

Meanwhile, the lawmaker after meeting with the district heads of Chikila and Sili also also inspected the ongoing construction of L.E.A Model School by Guyuk local government council.

In a related development, the member representing Guyuk constituency alongside the contractor handling the project have visited a culvert which divided the Banjiram community into two and causing untold hardship.

He assured them that he would liaise with other relevant stakeholders to proffer lasting solution to the problem, just as he lobbied for the inclusion of the culvert among the ongoing project for easy movement of goods and services.

The lawmaker also attended a meeting of Chikila Community WOMEN SUPPORT GROUP of People’s Democratic Party, who converged to strategize on how to deliver their polling units and the ward for all PDP candidates in the forth coming polls.

While thanking them, the lawmaker charged them to continue with the good job, assuring them of his readiness to provide necessary support.
