Speaker Taraba State House of Assembly (THA),Rt Hon Peter Abel Diah enjoined former lawmakers in the state to create an opportunity for all members who had once served as legislature to still contribute for the development of the state.
Abel who received the former legislature of 6th,7th,and 8th Assembly on a solidarity visit to the entire House said the state is still in need of their wealth of experience.
According to Peter is looking for an opportunity where all serving and former lawmakers will come together to chart a better course for the state.
“Our doors are wide open for any advice for this government,and We as an Assembly we will plan sit down to foster cordial relationship with you. We will advise the Governor to embrace some of you in the executive arms advisers and special assistants.
“We will support this relationship.” Peter said
Honourable Oliver Suleiman who spoke on behalf of the former Lawmakers said their purpose of coming is to congratulate speaker Diah assuming a leadership responsibility because of his selfless service to Taraba people.
“We are here on a solidarity visit, it is our culture to pay homage of solidarity to every new leadership of the House,on this note we have come to congratulate you.” Oliver Said
Oliver extolled Peter for making Taraba proud who because of his good leadership roles was appointed the deputy Chairman of council of speaker of Nigeria.
“Go ahead and deliver on the mandate of the people of Taraba, because your experience is making you to represent us. We congratulate you “. He said
He continue to say that they have also come to encourage them to do better,as they are outside watching them well.
