LG Chairman,Idi Amin secures the release of inmates in Adamawa prison

About ten (10) prisoners has been released in Maiha Prisons area of Adamawa state on meeting the conditions of their freedom.

The Chairman of Maiha LGA,Alhaji Idi Aminu who secured their released by paying all the fine and charges against them told our reporter that the prisoners has no basis to stay in the prison.

According to him the released bond men are in prison because of their inability to pay their fines, their offences provided an option of paying fine as sentenced by their Judges,but because of their poor condition could not meet up.

Idi laments that the Prisoners are mostly Youths between the age bracket of 25-30 years whose useful ages are still needed to have a productive society, but are wallowing in prison because they lack assistant by well meaning Nigerians.

Aminu further said that Nigerian youths are very hard working but only need a start up capital to venture into business, he therefore empowered them with money to go back and start something meaning.

While responding on behalf of others inmates,Abdulwahab Abubakar who is from Mubi,was in prison because of phone theft and unable to pay a fine of 7,500 said Idi has safe him from having a thwarted destiny.

He appreciate Aminu for the gesture and assured that the money provided to them will help them start something productive and they will never go back to prison again.

Aminu further Said that the effort he made to secured their release is his nature as a philanthropist to help the downtrodden, the needy and less privilege in the society.

He Opined that the inmates are not only from his immediate constituency, some of them are from Yola North (Jimeta), Mubi north and Mubi south,but found it very imperative to secure their freedom because they are Young and the society needs them for productive use.

“Our fingers are not equal, so God position us in the Society,some can be privilege than others and the fact that you are opportuned does not mean you are better of than any body in the side of God.

” We are all equal in God’s eyes both the rich and the poor (Less privilege) we are all living because of God’s Mercies, so it scare me a times when I see people brags about.

“For me to live well is to help somebody in needs and to impacts positively to people who God allow our paths to Cross.” Aminu Said

He however warned them to refrain from all criminal acts that might warrant them coming back to prison again.

”Pleas my friends do something meaning with the little money i made available to you so that you can earn a good living. ” He added.

The officer incharge of Maiha Prison,Ahmed Tuntun Hardawa Said Aminu set a record in Maiha as this is the first of it’s kind for a politician to secure the release of prisoners who their offenses are not condemnable to dead.

He thank the delegation of Aminu and call of other politicians to do so because the prisons across the country need decongestion and many inmates are there for lesser offences that are bailable.
