Adamawa State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reversed its earlier expression and willingness to participate in the state-coming Local Government Areas election scheduled by the State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC).
Dr. Raymond Chidama, State Secretary of the party e-signed a statement and revealed that the State executive committee of the party had an all-inclusive meeting today at the Party Secretariat and deliberated extensively on the forthcoming Local government election in the state.
According to him, they have X-rayed the Advantages and disadvantages of participating in the Local government election, and the meeting via a majority vote resolved as follows:
“The All Progressives Congress Adamawa State Chapter will not participate in the Local government election due to evident lack of fairness.
“The Party will challenge the composition of the ADSIEC which is made up of PDP Card-carrying members in a court of competent jurisdiction. This decision supersedes the earlier decision taken by the State Exco and Local Governments Party chairmen.
“The State Executive and Local Governments Party chairmen are mandated to enlighten Party members on this development.”
