Limawa Ward Tops Adamawa APC Membership Drive with Record 20,880 New Registrations, Signals Readiness for 2027

In a resounding display of grassroots mobilization, Limawa Ward in Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa State has emerged as the leading ward in the state for new All Progressives Congress (APC) membership registrations during the recent nationwide e-registration exercise.

Speaking at a celebratory caucus meeting of the ward, Aliyu Abbati Abdulhameed, mni, Patron-Member of the APC in Limawa Ward, hailed the achievement as historic and a clear testament to the ward’s dedication, organizational strength, and loyalty to the party.

Addressing party faithful, Abdulhameed declared: “Limawa Ward is ready. Limawa Ward is capable. Limawa Ward is unstoppable.”

He credited the success to collaborative support from APC leadership at the local government, state, and national levels, which provided an enabling environment for such outstanding performance.

Breaking down the figures, Abdulhameed revealed that during the February 2026 registration window, Adamawa State recorded over 450,000 new APC members statewide—an impressive feat that positioned the state as a frontrunner, especially as a non-APC-governed entity at the time.

Within Yola North LGA, the largest in the state, a total of 137,091 members registered, accounting for 30.7% of the state’s total. Limawa Ward distinguished itself further by contributing 20,880 new members—representing 15.2% of all registrations in the LGA and securing the top spot among Adamawa’s 226 wards.

“This is the result of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice,” Abdulhameed emphasized. He specially recognized ten young party members who spearheaded the drive, describing them as “foot soldiers” and “torchbearers” whose efforts have not gone unnoticed by the party hierarchy.

“The APC does not forget those who serve with distinction,” he said. “Your loyalty today is the foundation of your leadership tomorrow.”

The ward leader used the occasion to send a strong message to higher party organs: Limawa Ward has proven its capacity and is poised to deliver even more.

He called for commensurate recognition, support, and investment in the ward, noting that when elections arrive, the APC will rely on committed communities like Limawa to secure votes and maintain stability.

Abdulhameed urged all members to mobilize en masse on Election Day, bringing family, neighbors, and friends to demonstrate Limawa’s reliability as a partner to the party and government.

“Limawa Ward, you have made history. You have set a standard that other wards will aspire to,” he concluded. “The APC is strong because of wards like Limawa. The APC is great because of people like you.”

The event underscored the APC’s aggressive push to build a robust, verifiable membership base ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Limawa Ward’s performance serving as a model of effective community-level engagement in Adamawa State.
