Mubi the second largest city in Adamawa state Northeast Nigeria is facing low current electricity supply as a result of non-connection of the city to high tension electricity transmission lines that could have boosted economic activities in the area. It could be recalled that the areas came under heavy attack by Boko Haram insurgents who also vandalized electricity connections in the zone in 2009 and have suffered a setback to human and capital development.

The Senator representing Adamawa North in the National Assembly, Senator Cliff Abbo disclosed this while fielding questions from newsmen in Yola, the Adamawa state capital, said he will lobby the Executive arm for the rebuilding of battered infrastructure, social destruction and bring back indigenes of the area now taking refuge in Cameroun Republic due to displacement.

The Senator added that he will ensure adequate provision is made in 2020 budget for the rebuilding of the senatorial district to accelerate development.

Abbo also decried that the people of Mubi North, Maiha and some areas in Michika, Madagali and Mubi North are using Camerounian MTN and Airtel GSM services and were charged each call as international call against domestic call which is unacceptable.

I going to meet the Minister of Communication and National Communication Commission NCC to ensure that GSM service providers in Nigeria like MTN and Airtel have install their mast in these areas so that people would be relief from such huge payment on recharge cards he added.

He then called on the youths to always accept their fault whenever they err and retract their early statement.
I will be an encouragement to the Nigeria Youths and I will continue to say whenever you are wrong dont brag say you are sorry, retraced your steps and move in the right direction he added.
