The President of Lutheran world federation (LWF) and the Archbishop of Lutheran church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN), Most Rev Panti Filibus, PhD congratulates Bishop Steven Dami Mamza of Catholic Church, Yola diocese as the newly elected state’s chairman of Christan Association of Nigeria (CAN),Adamawa state.
In a Press statements Signed by his secretary,Rev Basil John attesting that Dami is coming at a time when the church in Adamawa state and Nigeria are living in an atmosphere of insecurity and threat of fragmentation along different lines.
Archbishop Panti earnestly pray for God enabling guidance to help him to succeed in bringing down God’s glory to the entire body of Christ in the state during his tenure.
“I pray that by the Grace of God, you may be granted the knowledge, wisdom and courage to successful carry out the responsibilities entrusted to you, particularly promoting and strengthening unity among all Christians in Adamawa state, and to be the voice of the church in pursuit for peace and justice for the good of all people.” He prayed
In the letter Archbishop Panti also congratulate the out gone leadership of CAN under the chairmanship of Bishop Mike Moses for providing the atmosphere of stability in the association when the CAN is in dire need of good leadership.
Calling on all the Christian in the state to cooperate with the present leadership to achieve progress.
