The defection of Senator Grace Jackson Bent to the All progressives Congress (APC) has attracted the Interim National Chairman of the party, Excellency, Mai Mala Buni, and other national bigwigs of the party to Yola to formally welcome the former Board of Trustees member (BOT) for dumping PDP.
APC is said to be gaining momentum in Adamawa for having the likes of Grace who is a senior member of PDP and a critical national stakeholder of the party to join the opposition party was said to be a plus according to the Party’s assistant publicity Secretary, Mohammed Mayas as she can upturn well the permutation of APC in 2023.
The welcome ceremony which is scheduled for Saturday (Tomorrow) 10th, 2021 will bring many APC stakeholders across the state for having Mrs. Jackson as a political big catch with a wherewithal to change well the narratives of the party in the state.
During one of her pre-defection meetings with the APC national leader, Mai Mala described her as a political great personality and her records in the national assembly still speak volumes.
You would recall that the Senator that represented Adamawa Southern Senatorial District from 2007 to 2011 after a meeting of PDP stakeholders on April 15, 2021, accused Gov Ahmadu Fintiri Umaru of killing the PDP party in Adamawa state.
She also raised Sundry allegations that the Adamawa state serving Governor (Fintiri) sabotaged her return to the Senate in 2019.
