Malafa: SGF, HOSA Alma matter honor First Female Navy Rear Admiral in the North

In a get-together to celebrate a success-inclined personality who has made them proud in the Nigerian Navy.

Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Barr Boss Mustapha, GCON, and a host of many Alumni of Hong Government Secondary School have thumbed up with encomiums of praises to Rear Admiral Jamila Sadiq Abubakar Malafa who has made a historic name in the Nigerian Navy.

Boss is the senior Alumni of the School under the umbrella of the Hong Old Boys Association (HOSA) In a dinner organized yesterday in Abuja and honored the only Woman senior Naval officer not only from Adamawa but the entire Northern region.

Jamila made starlings achievements who grew up through the ranks and started her career as a Nurse Navy, later switched to Maritime Law as a Lawyer.

Commendations of her bravery, diligence, intelligence, and hard-working Naval officer were the beehives of the event.

Boss Mustapha alongside Adamawa’s former head of service, Dr Loius Mandama, and Dr Ismaila Nuhu Maksha described her as a glory of womanhood and pride of the nation who has huge achievements to her name while serving the nation.

Dr. Maksha showered praises on General Malafa as a Woman who had a fighting spirit and got to her desired destination.

According to him, Jamila was able to weather the storm of life, from Nursing to a reputable Lawyer and she is now a pride to the female gender and the entire North.

“For us, Jamila coming from our Alma matter is a thing of pride, she is an example of the women folks who break the cultural differences and became a star general in the Navy,” Marsha said

The meeting also brought together women from political and military classes to honor Jamila.

In her words of appreciation, Mrs. Jamila said she lack words to express her gratitude to Boss and all the HOSA members who graciously turned to honored.

“I will never forget this day, this is a further call to remind of the many task head to serve humanity at all costs under whichever circumstances.

“Thank you My Elder Brother, Boss Mustapha, my seniors from HOSA, all of you here have brightened up my moment, and pray history will all be kind to you.’ Jamila said

She said Boss’ Father , Mr Mustapha was her headmaster while she was in primary school and ever will she grateful to be nurtured by him and prayed his soul be in paradise.

Jamila reiterated Boss’ Father contributed a lot of her current status in life and she is sure that he will be more happy to see her as a general if he would be alive today.
