Supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress and opposition African Democratic in Ondo town have been engaged in a violent clash ahead of Saturday’s local government council election in the state.
APC and ADC members clashed at the Yaba area of Ondo town, resulting in many people being seriously injured.
No fewer than 15 vehicles were also vandalised in the clash that began on Thursday evening.
The cause of the violence was unknown as of the time of filing this report, but it was gathered that it was not unconnected with Saturday’s council poll.
