The Catholic Church has disclosed that the spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu Nigeria, AMEN, will return after observing some time alone.
Padre Mike Umoh, the National Director of Social Communications for the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, confirmed this.
The clarification became necessary following protests that greeted Mbaka’s announcement of his replacement during a service on Sunday.
As he makes his way to the monastery, he informed his followers that Rev. Fr. Anthony Amadi will take his place.
The admirers objected to the development.
In a statement released by Umoh on Monday, he claimed Amadi would manage the ministry in the short term.
Quoting Director of Communications, Enugu Diocese, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Achi, the CSN Spokesman said, “it was recommended that Fr. Mbaka takes time away in solitude, in order to listen to what the Spirit of God has to tell him, he was allowed to propose a priest to administer, in the interim, to the faithful at the Adoration Ministry.”
According to him, what is expected of every true Christian, most especially every true Catholic, “is to commit our dear brother and priest, Fr. Mbaka, to God in prayer so that he may, through this moment, encounter God specially, come out stronger and better in recognizing His will for him and gain more graces to channel those rare gifts for His glory and for the sanctification of the people of God and society at large.”
He had previously told the congregation that he had solutions to Nigeria’s problems with regard to the 2023 general election, but that he had been restrained by God from sharing them. This was before he announced his replacement on Sunday.
He continued by claiming that some anonymous people were wasting their time.
