In its determination to deliver all polling units for President Muhammadu Buhari and Gov Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindo of Adamawa state,a Social Media Team Executives of Operation Deliver Your Polling Unit (ODYU) has been inagurated in Yola.
The organisation which is operating under the dictates of All Progressives Congress (APC ) of Adamawa state chapter call on all Candidates,party loyalists,and party officials to redouble their effort in enlightening the electorates on the policies and programs of the present administration at all levels
The Chairman Board of trustees of the organisation Alhaji Dahiru Bobbo who made call during the Saturday awareness programs and formal inauguration of the twenty one local government Social Media Team ODYU held at Lamido Zubairu Hall Yola town.
Represented by the permanent Secretary Ministry of Works Yola Engineer Suleiman Muhammad the B.O.T Chairman said the emergence of internet has brought about a change in economic, political, intellectual, and socio-cultural interaction in the world today hence the need on the users especially Youth to be cautious in the postings on Social Media platforms.
On his part the State Chairman of the APC Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal represented by the Assistant Secretary of the party Alhaji Mustapha Raji said Youths has significant role to play in the fourth coming polls considering their importance in enlightenment campaign.
Speaking separately the Director General Operation Deliver Your Polling Unit Mai Anguwa Abubakar Babatsoho and the organization Secretary Muhammad Bappare said propagating and promotion the President Muhammadu Buhari and that of Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibirilla is one the cardinal objectives of initiating the Social Media Committee.
They urged the newly inaugurated Members to avoid derogatory and hate speeches in their messages and concentrate on sensitizing electorates on the developmental projects of President Buhari and Governor Bindow led APC administration.
Earlier in their addresses the Director Media and Publicity of the organization Alhaji Husseini Ahmadu Har and Director Social Media Alhaji Bala Usman said Internet and social media offers lots of benefits in the present political dispansation adding that youths are the most active users of social media which have given the voice to express themselves.
In their separate response on behalf of the newly inaugurated excos, Abdu Gidado from Mayo Belwa, Goga Anfield from Ganye, Thomas Bankole from Shelleng and Jibirilla Maiha thanked the state leadership for appointing them promising to justify the confidence repose in them.
There were goodwill messages from APC Chairman Yola South Alhaji Suleiman Adamu, Alhaji Sanusi Bakari Elizabeth Bitrus.
