He worried that moral values are now not taken the centre stage in the life of Nigerians, resulting to total lack of integrity and bulldozing ourselves with lies and hate speech.
“I think it is important for men in Nigeria today to realise the enormous responsibility that is expected of them in terms of providing leadership and direction for our country.
“Men are responsible at home, are responsible at the community and the society as a whole,I think the direction men live in this country shapes also the this country lives as a whole.” Filibus said
Filibus took his Bible text from the book of Judges 6:12 to commiserate a special Sunday service dedicated to Men entitle “celebrating the men of valour” he emphasized the need to stand firm and make a difference.
According to him the biblical point of view of Men of valour is talking about men of integrity, becoming godly influences in the world that many perceived to be perverse.
“Nigeria is living under a serious threat, we are now living in an environment we find easy to tell lies, suspicion and hate over taken good neighborliness.” He added
The world renown Archbishop proffers a solution that the men in Nigeria should come together and talk to themselves and to ask question to thmelves by asking one another critical question like what is the vision for this country and what is the vision of building citizens of this country.
Panti who grated an interview with our correspondent continue to say that the sense for nation building have gone with our forefathers, founders and pioneers leaders of this country.
“I’m calling the men to retrace our paths back to the Sardaunas, back to the Balewas, the Ziks and the Awos to see where we have missed the mark.
“The need to assume greater responsibility the way we train and shape the young generation at home, we can’t relegate the nurturing them only to their Mothers,Men should assume the responsibility of models that the younger generation look up to.
“The traditional and government institutions must play a part in reshaping the country by inculcating moral values to our Younger people.
“The survival of this country is the survival of all of us,no one part of this country will survive if the rest of this country is shaking, so we must see the whole always even when we are concern with the local governments, the States and difference sectors, we must always look at the whole.
“We live by deception, this is not how our founders father lived. Men of integrity will tend to live by their words.”
