Dr Yakubu Tor-Agbidye on Wednesday said that the choice of Engr. Sale Mamman as Minister of Power by President Muhammadu Buhari was not a mistake.
Tor-Agbidye made the remarks in Jalingo while reacting to the just concluded ministerial inauguration and assigning of portfolio to the minister’s designate.
He said that Mamman, who is an electrical engeneer was most qualified to superintend over the power ministry especially at this crucial time that Nigerians were in dare need of efficient power supply.
The former Senatorial Candidate in the last general election also noted that being an indigene of Taraba state where the most gigantic Gembu hydroelectrical power project was located was another pre-qualification for assigning him the ministry.
Tor-Agbidye urged the new minister to do his best to supervise the project, ensuring that the Next Level agenda in power sector was achieved.
He also eulogized him to make the people of Taraba state proud.
While commending President Buhari for assigning such an indispensable sector to a Taraban, Tor-Agbidye assured the minister of his support to enable him succeed.
You could recalls that Mamman is one of the minister’s designate that had just taken his oath of office as well assigned the portfolio of Minister of Power.
Before his nomination, Mamman was a member of the Governing Council of Federal University Wukari.
