The executive Governor of Adamawa state, Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow stated that his administration is a having a mission of Peace, Unity and development in building an economy viable state in the nation.
He further stated he has not any other agenda than to work for the people of Adamawa state with the meager resources and subvention given to the state by the federal government.
“Many people will be asking where am I getting the money and do all this projects, the answer I simply tell people we don’t put our hands in the public treasury, we manage well Our resources for my people who gave me the mandate “Said Bindow
Umaru also added that they have been haven a cordial relationship with the state lawmakers, an understanding that encourages him to be doing what he is doing now.
“My relationship with the state’s lawmakers is cordial and they are independently working as a separate unit of government without interfering to their legislative functions
“We are all working toward a common goal with my lawmakers to achieve Peace, Unity and development in all phases of life in our dear state “. He added
Jibrilla who revealed this to declare open a three days workshop organized by Adamawa state House of Assembly in collaboration with the House committee on Inter-parliamentry affairs.
The workshop which was purposely organised to educate the over 220 councillors and clerks of local governments in the state on they will be handling the parliamentary issues of local government council.
The Director of National Institute for Legislative studies NAILS), Dr Ladi Hamalai who was one of the resource persons and the guest speaker told the elected Councillors the concept of Local Government and how important is their role nation building when they make bye laws in their respective Councils.
