Your Excellency, President Muhammadu Buahri, GCFR, it is with gratitude to Almighty Allah and you sir, on behalf of the people of Mubi North, Mubi South, Maiha, Michika, Madagali LGAs of Adamawa State and Chibok, Gwoza, Uba-Askira from Borno state who by proximity are closer to Mubi Town than Maiduguri with an estimated population of (1.658,200) are profoundly grateful for assenting to the Bill, Federal Medical Centre, Mubi (Establishment) Act, 2022.
Your Excellency, your assent to this bill has endeared you to all the people of defunct Sardauna Province and beyond. As our father, you have listened to the cries of the sons and daughters of Mubi, answered their request in approving the establishment of a Federal Medical Centre, Mubi. Sir, Mubi is very known to you as a vibrant commercial nerve centre in the region and most populous town after Yola in Adamawa State, neighboring Cameroon, Chad and Niger.
Sir, again, I personally remain grateful to you for making it easy for me to serve the people of Adamawa as a Senator. Having noticed the most urgent need for a Federal Medical Centre in Mubi that would service over 1.6 million people, I sponsored a bill on the floor of the Senate for the establishment of the Federal Medical Centre, Mubi, which eventually was unanimously passed in both chambers of the National Assembly and forwarded for your kind consideration and approval.
Having magnanimously approved and assented to the bill (an act) clearly demonstrates your empathy for the wellbeing of the people of Adamawa state. It demonstrates your commitment and desire to uplift the living standard of our masses by providing expert healthcare services within a short distance to the people of this country.
Mubi has never had it this good. It was in your administration peace was restored to Mubi following its takeover by Boko Haram, today again Your Excellency has given approval to establish a Federal Medical Centre, Mubi. What else than to say, Your Excellency, we are short of words to say Thank you. Mun gode!
