Mukhtari Dogo Hamidu Emerges as Top Contender for Adamawa APC State Youth Leader Position

As the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State continues to reposition itself ahead of the 2027 general elections, Honourable Mukhtari Dogo Hamidu, the current Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Mobilisation, has been strongly tipped as the best fit to become the next APC State Youth Leader.

Supporters and party stakeholders argue that Hamidu’s impressive track record in youth mobilisation and consistent interface with young people across the state over the years clearly demonstrates that he possesses the capacity, experience, and charisma needed to lead the APC youth wing effectively.

Honourable Mukhtari Dogo Hamidu has built a reputation as a dedicated youth advocate and mobiliser. His roles, including serving as Director of Youth Mobilisation and now as PSA on Youth and Mobilisation to the Governor, have seen him actively engage youths in constructive activities, promote peaceful coexistence, and bridge the gap between young people and government policies.

A strong voice within the party, Comr. Wayamdi Joseph Edward, recently threw his weight behind Hamidu’s potential emergence.

“Dogo is the best person to galvanise Adamawa youth towards peaceful coexistence and meaningful development,” Comr. Wayamdi Joseph Edward stated.

“His coming as the APC Youth Leader will inject fresh energy into the party’s youth wing and ensure that our young people are properly organised, empowered, and aligned with the progressive ideals of the APC.”

Party observers note that Hamidu’s long-standing commitment to youth issues, his ability to interface effectively with diverse youth groups, and his proven mobilisation skills make him a natural choice for the position.

Many believe his leadership would help strengthen the APC’s grassroots support among the teeming youth population in Adamawa, especially as the party prepares for crucial primaries and the general elections.

With the recent emergence of a new National Working Committee (NWC) at the APC National Convention in Abuja, stakeholders in Adamawa are optimistic that the state chapter will also align its youth leadership with competent and result-oriented individuals like Mukhtari Dogo Hamidu to drive the Renewed Hope agenda at the state level.

As consultations intensify within the Adamawa APC, calls are growing louder for the party to consider Hamidu’s wealth of experience in youth affairs when deciding the next State Youth Leader.
