Multiple Award-Winning Nimrod Bags Nigerian Society of Engineers Kaduna Chapter Honour

The President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Engineer Musa Nimrod, has added yet another feather to his cap after being conferred with the prestigious Award of Excellence by the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Kaduna State Branch.

The honour was bestowed on the accomplished engineer and sports administrator on Saturday, November 22, 2025, during a well-attended ceremony in Kaduna, in recognition of his tremendous and continuous contributions to the engineering profession, sports development, and nation-building.

Reacting to the award, the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kaduna State Chapter, described the recognition as thoroughly well-deserved.

In a statement signed by its Secretary, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, SWAN Kaduna said:

“We are proud that our patron, NVBF President, SWAN National and Kaduna Chapter patron, as well as the Chairman of Kaduna State Volleyball Association, was recognised and presented this prestigious award.

“It doesn’t come as a surprise, owing to his immense contributions not just to sports and the engineering profession, but to Kaduna State and the entire Nigeria.”

The association expressed optimism that the latest honour would further motivate Engineer Nimrod to continue rendering selfless service to humanity.

This latest accolade adds to a growing list of recognitions for the multiple award-winning administrator. Earlier in 2025, he was decorated with the “Man of the Year” award — the highest honour of Authentic News Daily — during the media organisation’s 10th Anniversary Award and Lecture ceremony held at the Arewa House, Kaduna.

Engineer Nimrod, a former Commissioner in Kaduna State and long-standing volleyball administrator, is widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most decorated sports and professional leaders.
