Muslim Council Adamawa state chapter gets new officials

Following the election of new officials to run the affairs of Muslim Council Adamawa state chapter for the next three years by twenty five Islamic organizations in Adamawa and subsequent inauguration, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has pledged government readiness to partner with groups that will promote peace and unity in the state.

The governor who stated this in his message at the inauguration of the new officials Muslim Council Adamawa state chapter commended the efforts of leadership of the council in uniting Muslim Ummah in the state so as to forge solid unity between religious groups in the state.

“I’m particularly elated by your joint efforts with the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Adamawa state chapter to ensure inter religious harmony in the state” he added

The Governor who was represented by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Border Integration Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu Jada said the state is renowned for peaceful coexistence and hope that the Council will pray for the state and its leaders for rapid development so that peace will reign in the state and the country at large.

Inaugurating the new officials, Lamido Adamawa Dr Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa charged them to fear Allah and do justice in the discharge of their duties and ensure the work in unison for the progress of the Council.

Lamido Adamawa who was represented by the Galadima Adamawa Alhaji Mustapha Aminu also task them to enlighten the youths on the negative consequences of joining violent groups in the name of Islam, maintained that forbids such acts. He then congratulated them and wished them successful tenure of office.

Responding on behalf of the new EXCO, Alhaji Gambo Jika pledged to justify the confidence response on them by consolidating in uniting the Muslim Ummah in Adamawa state and will continue to work hand in hand with Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Adamawa state chapter for peace and unity to prevail in the state.

He then solicited for support and cooperation form members and Muslim Ummah to enable them succeed.

In a remark, Deputy Chief Imam of Modibbo Adama Central Mosque Yola, Sheik Tijjani Tahir reminded the people that power belongs to Allah, calling on the new EXCO to carry every Muslim along nad charged the former EXCO to support the new EXCO in steering the leadership of the Council.

Those inaugurated are Mal Gambo Jika Chairman, Dr Salihi Ibrahim Ateequ Vice Chairman I, Modibbo Aliyu Modibbo Iya Vice Chairman II, Alh Ismaila Modibbo Umar Secretary-General, Mal. Aminu Baba Ahmad Asst Secretary-General, Alh Hassan Modibbo Hamidu Treasurer and Alh Mohammad Danjuma Financial Secretary.

Others are Alh Abdullahi Ibn Hamman P.R.O I, Alh Abdullahi N. Damare P.R.O II, Alh Umaru Yaro Organizing Secretary, Alh Bashiru Yahya Hong Asst Organizing Secretary, Mal Idris Umar Adam Internal Auditor, Imam Ismail Abdullahi Asst Internal Auditor.

Three legal advisers and 15 Advisers were also inaugurated at the event with Emir of Mubi Alh Abubakar Isa Ahmadu, Representatives of Gangwari Ganye and Amna Shelleng among the dignitaries.
