The Chairman Muslims Council of Adamawa State, Mallam Gambo Jika, commended the leadership of both Muslims and Christian faithful in Adamawa, for ensuring peaceful coexistence among its followers.
Mallam Jika made the commendation today when he paid a courtesy visit to congratulate Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza for his re-election as the Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Adamawa state chapter alongside other officials members at the Secretariat of the association in Yola.
Jika expressed Joy and appreciated members of the Association for their visionary foresight in re-electing Bishop Mamza and his team for the second term to serve them and the generality of Adamawa people.
While describing his re-election based on endorsement because of Dami’s good leadership style hence his general acceptance by many Christians and Muslims and prayed for his second tenure to be more successful than the first one.
The chairman used the forum to commend His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintir, for his effort towards peace sustenance and the developmental strides being recorded in the state.
Jika assured that Muslim Council will cooperate with CAN Support Governor Fintiri to have greater achievements and results as he governs the state in the pillars of progress.
In his remarks, the CAN chairman, Bishop Dami Mamza, appreciated Mallam Gambo Jika and his members for the visit and promised to strengthen the mutual relationship between members of the two religions.
The chairman appeal to all faithful to pray against the security challenges facing the country.
He took the Muslim Council members around the newly commissioned CAN Secretariat build by the association.
