Contrary to the perception of so many people in Nigeria that the former Secretary to the government of the federation (SGF), Engr Babachir David Lawal is a religious pundit with much inclination to Christianity bigotry

The erstwhile SGF in Arise TV three days ago during an interview was emphatical to say that he was fighting a just course not based on Christian religion, but a course for all Nigerians.

David said people mistook his fight for justice and equity as a binding force for the corporate existence of Nigeria to what is never his view of the collective interest of all.

The former SGF revealed that the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Presidential flag bearer, Chief Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s final decision on his Muslim Muslim ticket is jeopardizing the chances of winning election for the party.

He worried that the party will be in serious trouble because of the exclusion of the Minority group and the Christian religion for picking Senator Kashim Shettima as his Vice President.

He fumed how the party structure at the moment has excluded Northern Christians in the scheme of things.

He explained that the president, senate president, speaker of the house of representatives, National Chairman of the party, and Northwest, and East national officials of the party are all Muslims.

He revealed that the arrangement was poorly planned and is becoming a direct attacks on Minorities and Christians in the North, and it is against the national Unity.

Babachir who was a former North East National vice chairman of the party condemned the APC Presidential flag bearer, Tinubu’s decision to ignore the red lines that will befall the party in losing coming 2023 election.

David warned that the Northern voters by this pairing will prefer their Son in People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar who is the party’s presidential flag bearer.

Lawal emphasized that APC is his real party and will never leave it for any other because he was a founding member and love the party’s manifestoes
