The Governorship seat of Adamawa State is keenly being contested by many aspirants ahead of the 2023 general elections.
One of the leading aspirants, Honourable Wafarninyi Theman Dallatu yesterday amidst cheering supporters at the Banquet Hall of Lelewal in Yola declared his interest in aspiring for the governorship seat under the All Progressive Congress, APC, party.
The official public declaration of Theman attracted hundreds of senior politicians across the 21 local governments to witness his manifesto encapsulated in change and hope aim at bringing to the table of the Adamawa people in 2023.
The former Lawmaker in the Adamawa State House of Assembly to have represented Hong Constituency while declaring his intent said his main focus if elected as a Governor is to eradicate poverty in the entire state.
Theman, a Pharmacist who graduated from ABU Zaria revealed his gubernatorial philosophy to have a common humanity, build Bridges for all people, and come to the leadership position of Adamawa state with an innovative campaign of change and hope.
According to him, is going to be a change that proves that a government of the people, by the people, and for the people is possible.
“A change that will put our people back to prosperity and open doors of opportunity for all. A change that will promote the course of peace and reaffirm that fundamental truth that we are one is possible” Theman said
The gathering in Yola shows massive support for Theman’s ambition where Four thousand APC in the 21 Local Government Areas of the State from the 2226 Units has unanimously adopted him as the preferred candidate who will fly the party flag in 2023.
The various organizations made up of women, youth, the elderly, and party bigwigs took their turns to adopt Hon him at a crowded Lelewal Hotel and said they have looked at the various candidates of the APC only Safari fit the bill because he was a unifier of the people.
So many of the organizations said only Hon Wafari Theman can bring victory to the APC for Adamawa gubernatorial elections.
The Director-General of the campaign team Alh. Musa said all these groups under the APC banner are strong members of the party some of the delegates have found Theman as the best candidate in the party to fly the flag of the party.
The APC Adamawa State Organizing Secretary Mustapha Atiku Ribadu commended the youths for finding Wafari Theman worthy of adoption.
He said the party believed in a free and fair contest in all elective positions and Safari The man stands a chance for the guber slot. Hon Mustapha Atiku Ribadu commended Hon Dr. Wafari Theman for always helping the party saying all the furniture at the Adamawa State APC office was donated by Hon Wafari Theman, he called on more support for the candidate.
While speaking Pharmacist Dr Wafari Theman said he stands a chance to clinch the APC gubernatorial ticket because of his singular policy of inclusiveness. He promised to develop Adamawa State far beyond the imagination of the people if he becomes the Governor in 2023.
