Following legislative approval of N100 billion Agribusiness Initiative bond for Governor Ahmadu Fintiri on Monday, members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly have paid a visit to the governor.
Although the member representating Verre Constituency Abdullahi Yapak kicked aginst the approval of the bond and spoke to the press to ventilate his grievances, this is considered a normal occurrence in a democracy.
Members are of the collective view that as with many things in the tradition of the House of Assembly, squabbles like this are usually unavoidable, but finding a way to resolve such issues is usually the right thing to do.
It was on this premise that members on Tuesday paid a visit on the Governor on how to chart new way forward for the state.
The lawmakers, led by Deputy Speaker Hon. Pwamakaino Mackondo, Majority Leader Hammantukur Yettisuri, Minority Leader Mohammad Mutawalle, House Chief Whip, Hon Haruna Jilantikiri, Minority Whip Ibrahim Musa Italiya, Deputy Leader Japhet Kefas.
Others were members representing Toungo, Leko Koma, Shelleng, Yola South, Mubi South, Yola North, Hong, Guyuk and Nasarawo Binyeri Constituencies.
On his part, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri who is a former speaker of the House of Assembly and is fully aware of the intrigues and the politics of the Assembly, warmly received the members.
He called on them to support his administration in his quest to put Adamawa on the pedastal of Approval
