Ten thousand Micro-Business Owners In Adamawa State have assured of fifty thousand disbursement.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri gave the assurance during the flags off ceremony today at Mahmud Ribadu square to business owners.

He said the disbursement is through the Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency as a significant milestone in his government commitment to uplifting the socio-economic status of the people and fostering inclusive growth across all sectors of our economy.

“As a government, we recognize that micro-businesses form the backbone of our local communities, driving innovation, creating employment opportunities, and contributing to the overall prosperity of our people and our dear state.

“The decision to allocate these cash grants stems from our unwavering dedication to alleviating poverty and empowering our entrepreneurs to thrive in a competitive marketplace. By providing direct financial assistance to ten thousand micro-business owners, we aim to catalyze their growth, enhance their productivity, and enable them to scale-up their ventures to new heights.
We understand the challenges faced by micro-business owners, from limited access to capital to lack of resources and infrastructure. Therefore, these cash grants are not merely handouts but strategic investments in the future of Adamawa State. They represent a tangible expression of our belief in the entrepreneurial spirit of our people and our commitment to creating an enabling environment for business success.” He said

He continued to say that the event is also a bold step towards enhancing the capacity of Adamawa State people to be able to cope with the current harsh economic realities and urged the beneficiaries to utilize the funds wisely, invest in their businesses, and seize the opportunities that lie ahead.

“Let this moment serve as a catalyst for innovation, creativity, and enterprise development. Whether you are a smallholder farmer, a local artisan, or a budding entrepreneur, know that your success is integral to the prosperity of our state.

“I commend the efforts of the Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency for their diligent work in implementing this program. Their dedication and commitment have been instrumental in ensuring that these cash grants reach those who need them the most. I call upon all stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society organizations, and the private sector, to collaborate closely in supporting our micro-business owners on their journey to success.

“In line with our governance philosophy of ensuring that no one is left behind and nothing is left untouched, this event is one in the series of our efforts at changing the fortune of our people especially in this economically trying time. It is equally a testament to our collective resolve to build a better future for Adamawa State. Together, we can navigate these tough times and sail our people to the shores of prosperity and wealth. The amount in question might individually look small, but is big enough to unlock opportunities for wealth and prosperity to the seriously minded business entities.

“It is now my honour and privilege to flag-off the distribution of Fifty thousand naira each, tagged the Fintiri Business Wallet, to 10,000 beneficiaries for the economic development of our State and the greater glory of God.”
