A critical stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa state, Chief Sunny Sylvester Moniedafe reiterated calls to party members to ensure peace permeates the party than unresolved issues to be allowed to linger on without harmony among members.
Sunny who is the Assistant Director, Support Group Coordination, North East of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the Tinubu/Shettima ticket made the call after the House of Representatives member representing Ganye, Jada, Tongo, and Mayo Belwa, Rt Hon Abdulrazak Namdas Sa’ad donated office, cars to PCC in Adamawa state.
He said the gesture cannot bring unity of purpose bearing in mind that the APC family is experiencing a turbulent of disunity.
While pressing the good effort by Namdas and commended him well for the gesture, he called on him to chart a way forward of addressing the excesses of a party member who had thrown a tantrum of open attacks and rubbished a 2-term Governor and elder Statesman, Admiral Murtala Nyako?
He said people like Uba Dan Arewa are perpetrators who ought to have been sanctioned for insulting Nyako but freely being encouraged by Namdas.
He asked whether they are doing the bidding of Hon Namdas or his friends.
He said Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani is getting more than she deserves from her detractors of no crime of hers in all the attacks because she is the main target.
According to him, Binani is the Gubernatorial candidate of the APC in Adamawa but someone is behind the scene rubbishing her black.
” We must do the right thing if we want to win the elections next year. For the sake of clarity, seeing the caliber of people here, if Hon Namdas wants to unite Adamawa APC, he must call for a sanction against Uba Dan Arewa, for using such unpalatable words against a senior Statesman, a retired Rear Admiral and 2-term Governor of Adamawa State, Admiral Murtala Nyako.
“He must also openly apologize to Nyako, whose only offense was that he wanted to make peace by attending both events, one in Yola, the other in Ganye. Barring that, I doubt if there can be peace in the Adamawa APC family.” Sunny said
He accused Comrade Mustapha Salihu, the North East National vice chairman taken aside.
