Nasarawa state Government has argument about N1.6 billion naira to settle salaries of civil servants
and other allowances and overhead within January to May this year.

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity Mallam Tukur Ahmed stated this while briefing newsmen at government house Lafia.
According Mallam Tukur Ahmed the state government within the five months received nine point seven billion naira and settled about eleven point four billion naira for salaries, allowances and overhead in the state.
He explained that in January the state allocation for January after deduction from source is two point three four billion Naira and the state paid salaries of one point nine four nine billion naira.
Mallam Tukur Ahmed said the allowances and overhead which is fixed monthly is three hundred and seventy two million naira and if you subtract the total salary and the overhead from the net allocation of two point three four billion the state would have deficit of about eighty seven million.
He said the least allocation was April where the state received about one point six billion from the federation account and settled two point three eight eight billion naira to salaries and allowances and got a deficit of eight hundred and ten million naira to augment.
