In a significant move to enhance healthcare services in Kogi State, the National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF) has donated state-of-the-art medical equipment to Primary Healthcare Center Ikoyi and Cottage Hospital Iyah-Gbede. This generous donation, valued at millions of naira, aligns with NLTF’s mission to promote good causes for citizens and communities.
The donated medical equipment includes diagnostic, surgical, patient care, laboratory, and other essential items to improve healthcare delivery in the beneficiary communities.
Comrade Tosin Adeyanju, NLTF’s Executive Secretary, emphasized the organization’s commitment to bridging the healthcare gap in rural areas. “We are dedicated to promoting good causes, and today’s donation of medical equipment is a testament to this mission,” he said.

Adeyanju commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope mandate, noting that NLTF’s efforts align with the President’s vision for healthcare development.
Mrs. Margaret Mchivga, representing the Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, urged the communities to utilize the equipment effectively and ensure its proper maintenance.

Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni, Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, expressed gratitude to NLTF, stating that the donation will enhance healthcare in the community. “Health is wealth, and with this presentation of vital medical equipment, it clearly shows that the Federal Government wishes us to live longer,” he said.
Mrs. Ajayi Aiyetan, representing Ikoyi Primary Healthcare, praised NLTF’s donation, highlighting its value to the entire state. “The community has occupants from every tribe in Nigeria, making this equipment a valuable resource for the entire state,” she said.

The beneficiary communities have assured NLTF of their commitment to setting up monitoring teams to ensure the equipment’s proper use and management. Prince E.O. Jeminiwa, National President of Iyah-Gbede Development Association, called on the federal and state governments to address the community’s needs, including healthcare, roads, and education.
