The Adamawa state chapter of the Nigerian Association of women Journalists in an advocacy visit to the state police command seeks to partnership to reduce gender base violence.
The state coordinator of the Association, Comrade Zainab Sa’id Abubakar led the advocacy visit to the commissioner of police CP Adamu Audu madaki emphasized the need to protect women and children as they play vital roles in the development of any society.

The women professional body is also known as an activist group in promoting women agenda, fight against all form of violence against them and child abuse.
Recall that Adamawa state in recent time records high number of rape cases in the entire North Eastern region of the country.
